Hi everyone hope you are doing ok
I have had chemotherapy and then a lumpectomy, couldn’t retrieve the cancerous lymph nodes so I m waiting for another operation to sort them.out and will finish off with radiotherapy.
I have been waiting weeks for the 2nd operation and my anxiety is causing me all sorts of problems. I know there is cancer is the nodes so could it be spreading or will the chemo I had keep it at bay? It will be a year next month that I had the mammogram that started all this. I have spent today trying not to cry or going over my notes again.
I’m in Spain and it can feel lonely

It’s not nice when the anxiety takes over and you begin to spiral. I always think it’s important to allow myself to feel the “negative” emotions but know that this is temporary, the negative emotions will pass and you will feel better again 
and if you don’t, then please reach out to your team, your doctor, your friends and family, and of course us too
This is the good thing about having chemo before surgery, hopefully you have had a good response to chemo so that will have killed the cancer cells in your lymph nodes 
I had cancer cells in 3 lymph nodes, post surgery they were able to confirm that the cancer cells were all gone because of chemo, hoping that this is the case for you too. As you’re in Spain, if you need our nurses you can reach them here on the forum, or you can email them too. Sending love
