Started EC chemo today.
Was due in last Thursday but delayed by an echo report lost in the NHS system. I was “ready” last week and had a real wobble when they cancelled me on short notice.
Got the heads up Tuesday at 6pm to go in for first treatment at 2pm on Wednesday. Was quite teary before the treatment started but the nurses were kind and just softly busy around the treatment room. I was there for four hours as they calculated the dose incorrectly but chemo treatment was only 30 mins with the nurses chatting whilst putting the juice through the machine.
A little bit of lightheadedness, momentary breathlesness and a mild headache but generally feeling ok at the moment all be it quite tired. Treating the anti sickness like antibiotics, take it before symptoms start. Also… my pee is bright orange, like Irn Bru! 
So glad to get the first one out the way. Strength to us all.
