I don’t have direct experience with lift chairs, but we went through a similar decision when my mum was recovering from breast cancer treatment. She was weak and struggled with everyday movements, including getting up and down the stairs. We lived in a two-storey house at the time, and stairs were a real obstacle for her. We decided to rent a stairlift through Halton Stairlifts, which gave her independence and safety without the commitment of buying. It made a huge difference during her recovery.
That said, I know how important it is to find something that helps with sitting and standing comfortably. Between the two you’re looking at, I’d focus on reviews that mention build quality and ease of use, especially for someone with limited strength post-treatment. Also check the weight capacity and seat height. Some models are better for shorter or taller people. I’ve heard good things about the CANMOV for its larger seat, but the MCombo might be better if you want built-in massage.
Hope that helps, good luck with the recovery.
