I have had a number of investigations into my bowel since last October, in fact it all started the day after my 69th birthday. The upshot of the anomalies, which included a polyp and a strange fold in the rectum, is that bowel cancer wasn’t found although I have been left with a nasty, complicated fistula, which needs unpleasant treatment, for which I have an appointment at the end of November. So, whilst I cannot say that I am in the exact situation as you, I am very well aware of the concerns involved and just wanted to let you know that you’ve been heard.
