December 2025 chemo starters

Hi all. Ages since I posted, which was because it was all going ok, but now I’ve hit a blip and wondered whether anyone else has experienced this…

I had a mastectomy in October and have had one chemo cycle (EC) with 2nd due on Monday. Not pleasant, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

However, in the last couple of days my new breast started getting sore and today it felt horrible and looked huge! I spoke to the urgent nurse phone line then went into hospital. They think I have a seroma, possibly infected as blood tests showed a very slightly raised inflammatory marker.

So, ultrasound needed tomorrow and Mondays chemo will be delayed, which I’m upset about (I just want these cycles done!).

Anyone else had seroma experience? What did it feel like? What treatment? And how long did it last - apparently they often drain by themselves but I’d love this pain to go soon…!)

Thanks all
