Mastectomy - flat and fabulous or reconstruction. Shared experiences

That is very kind of you @templar-1310 . Thankyou :people_hugging::folded_hands:

I think we all try to help each other in the best way we can. It sounds as if you have had some very challenging times this last two years, both for yourself directly, but also for your daughter.

Cancer is truly cruel isnt it on so many levels.

You sound so strong after your operations. It takes a while for our physical selves to heal, it can take longer emotionally.

I had the one breast removed. Because I didnt have any genes to consider, they would only remove the bad breast.

I did have fluid retention (seroma) after they removed the drain from my chest (5days post surgery). The Nurses refused to drain the seroma, wanting my body to reabsorb the fluid. I was initially doubtful, but over the weeks it did reduce. Some UK Trust happily drain them, others less so.

I hope your daughter is doing OK.

Wishing all the strength in this universe to get through all your ops. Even though you may have a fear of death and dying, I really feel you have met all this head on. Through determination and feeling empowered its amazing what we cope with.

Stay strong. Keep treating yourself. Sending much love and hugs.
