Agreed, it shouldn’ t present problems for the vast majority, @poppy261 .
It’ s the wording in that piece you posted via the SPS that got my attention, “ are unlikely to cause symptoms in most”.
When we read all the stuff online about OUR side effects on the various chemos, CDK inhibitors, bisphos, oestrogen blockers etc, the lisings often say ‘ Common side effects in up to 10% ( 10 out of every 100 ) patients’ . In other words, ‘ unlikely to cause symptoms in most’ Maybe 90 out of every 100 of us get far less side effects than others, rather than none at all! Co-morbidities certainly contribute to shoving you firmly into the ‘ more likely’ category, your M.E. for starters, so I certainly see why you need to have your finger on the pulse when it comes to future meds. As you say, the ‘ one-size fits all’ approach has, sometimes, to be adapted when it would be unwise and unkind to adopt it. So FIGHT for your RIGHT to CHOOSE and sod it if your Oncs don’ t like you telling them when their job fails to have you eating from their hands.
To answer your first question…..there are as many brands/manufacturers of Letrozole as there are manufacturers! How long is a piece of string? Differing pharmaceutical protocols in different countries, regions, continents, just make these lists longer. Not just Letrozole. ALL drugs. Example, if I read about someone taking Advil on one of our forum threads, I can make an educated guess that they’re American. Here, we have Nurofen! Same thing. Ibuprofen NSAID.

Hi @baldiesrus ! Thank you for your lovely words, mean a lot to me.
They pumped me with steroids yesterday, they knew I was stressed to high doh! Thank gods! Been off steroids since Pac 3, so it’ s not like I’ ve been overdone on them.
So today….well, I stripped the bed and partially remade it- husband is in his own room these days, for BOTH our sakes and sanity so he wasn’ t tipped onto the floor or anything like that - cleaned and decluttered and chucked washing downstairs, all ready for him to wash later. By the time I sat down with coffee and, yes, snacky too-bloody-small Mars Bar - I’ d done an hour’s housework. Steroids, my Besties, for now. AND I slept 6 hours non-stop last night. Written a tick-off list of every little thing I need to do while I can because I KNOW it won’ t last. It’’ s a long list, stuff I’ d normally do in a couple of hours before the spine screamed at me to stop. Ahhh, those were the days! Very much missed and longed for. We’re ALL in that boat, aren’ t we?
Your tale of the roadworks and bus stops to and from the hospital you go to really resonated. On our usual route, which takes around 60 to 80 minutes door to door, but took 120 + yesterday, I notice plenty of bus stops, and most have people standing at them, so it’ s not as if it’ s an underused public service. To deny ANY access to a major hospital without putting viable alternatives in place AND KEEPING PEOPLE FULLY INFORMED is unacceptable. A ‘ Road Ahead Closed’ sign isn’ t much use is it? Yet we don’ t seem to have a leg to stand on. Yesterday’ s fiasco was compounded by the fact that there were NO workmen there, just all the traffic cones and signs, which hadn’ t been removed when the work was completed the day before! By the time we were driving back home the road was open and the cones had all gone ![]()

I’ m with you on the ‘Revels’ girl! Tell ‘em to go hang! With me it was always Maltesers! And nobody dared get between me and a Fry’s Turkish Delight - which are now about the size of a postage stamp. Which get bigger every year, ironically.
Right, my loves, that’ s my ‘ rest period’ done. Better let the steroids have their way. Time to crack on with the next set of instructions on my ‘ To Do Today’ list.
Hope @elastigirl is okay? Not heard from her this week. Hope your just taking a bit of time out, e. Thinking of you.
