Thank you. I just thought I would pose the question as different trusts/doctors give different advice.
On that note I contacted my GP about managing my foot pain. They are going to prescribe me an antidepressant that has a side effect that helps with pain caused by chemo induced Neuropathy. She said that it sounds like physically I am doing everything to look after my feet etc, so this is the next thing. Starting me on the lowest dose possible. Hmmm didn’t really want any more pills. Mind you, given how a lot of the drugs I’m going to be taking may make me depressed it may not be a bad thing ![]()
I have read other posts mentioning medication to help….Duloxetine is the drug I’ve been prescribed. Hopefully this will help, but it can take a few weeks to work. Then I will need to wean off a bit later on to see if the problem has gone away….as we don’t know if this will be a short term issue or permanent. I am hoping short term.
I went via GP as my gut told me the oncologist may have pushed me in that direction anyway….besides which my onco appointment is 20th Oct…
