Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words. I got my results last week and I was hugely relieved to be told that the lumpectomy and SNB op was successful! The margins were clear and the 5 lymph nodes removed were also clear which means that I’m now cancer free! I’m a bit lumpy underarm but hopefully that’ll settle down in time. I still have to have radiotherapy in a few weeks but the end is in sight! I’m just so thankful that it was caught early and has been dealt with. I was in two minds whether to send this post as I’m all too aware that so many people are not as lucky as I am and are currently in the throes of some pretty horrendous treatments, and to all who are in the middle of such treatments, I wish you all the very very best for a positive outcome.
