I have just recently been diagnosed with TNBC and DCIS. I am waiting for an MRI next Monday and then Breast Surgeon on Wednesday.
I am 44 and have a family history of BC so have been monitored closely for the last 6 years. It blows my mind that just 8 weeks ago I had clear mamogram and ultrasound then I found a sore lump last week that unfortunately was it.
I am finding the wait hard and just trying to keep as busy as I can. Wondering if anyone had similar diagnosis and any advice or tips.
It’s looking promising that no lymph node involvement but won’t know for sure until MRI etc.
I’m the same diagnosis as you and now just about to enter my 4th cycle of chemo.

We talk about chemo at lot in there but there are lots of people at different stages of their treatment so it will be a good place for you to ask questions and gather info and find some support.
Try and believe me when I say that the diagnosis/scanning/staging place you are in now - where you are waiting for answers, and appointments are flying at you is the worst bit. Once you start your treatment it honestly gets easier. Personally, once I had my first whack of chemo it felt like I was back in control a bit.

8 weeks is mad! I’m so glad you’ve been monitored closely and you knew what to look out for yourself even so soon after a mammogram. Many of us have no idea how long our cancer was sitting in us and I know I’d have been pleased to know that mine could be such an early stage! That’s really encouraging. The MRI is standard for someone your age because of dense breast tissue so try not to worry too much over that, much easier said than done I know.
The waiting is awful hopefully you won’t need to wait for too many different things but it can feel endless at times. Once the doctors have a clear picture of whats going on things will feel less worrying. For some of us looking back the waiting was definitely the worst part.
Distractions are key! You currently have the golden ticket to do anything and everything you love as much as you want. Be kind to yourself, eat as good as you possibly can, watch all your favourite shows and make sure you get yourself out into the fresh air. Walking for many of us is a great way to pass the time with the added benefit of building our strength up in preparation for surgery or treatment.
Most importantly keep reaching out to people here when you feel yourself slipping down a dark hole. You’ll always come away feeling better than if you had sat and googled stuff haha
