Thank you everyone for all your good wishes.
It has been lovely reading all your updates over the past week even though I have not got on to post for a few days. Glad everyone has been able to enjoy the past week, even if in different ways to how we normally celebrate.
I’ve noticed quite a few on here are counting down to the end of the treatment. Definitely feels there is a turning point for so many of us and it is just amazing. We are ticking them off ladies!!!
I am on day 9 after my first EC. Had a relatively good week. All 4 of our kids came home for Christmas and partners arrived at different times over the past week. It has just been so lovely. I’ve been tired on some days but luckily it has not stopped me doing anything. I have paced myself as I knew it would be hectic, I don’t know if the tiredness was due to the treatment or just a busy few days, even though I have not been allowed to do anything. The most common phrase in our house has been ‘sit down Mum’ ![]()
I will see what week 2 brings after EC but so far its OK
I have not had any actual wine, because I only had the EC last Monday and wasn’t sure how I would be. Have been trying different non-alcoholic Proseccos. Trying to find a good one as most of them are very sweet and I prefer something dry. Its been nice trying them anyway ![]()
@story1 Thanks for sharing the eyebrow stamp. I will take a look and see if I can magic anything up. Happy belated birthday wishes. Glad you got to enjoy your birthday without the side effects. Good luck for your second EC.
I really hope the fatigue does not hit you as much this time. You are better prepared this time so hopefully it will be better. It is so great you are so close to the end. When you say it I know I am not far behind you.
@poptart So sorry to hear your chemo has been delayed. I totally understand your frustration and I know others here have been in similar positions. I hope you get over the infection as quick as possible and can be strong as you can be for your next chemo. It’s really good you are not neutropenic and hopefully you can bounce back quickly.![]()
@cridders Great you are feeling good and you got to go Ice skating wow. Lovely pic and you look really good. You have also done a great job with your eyebrows. I wish I could do the same, I feel pretty useless in that department.
@dizzy3 I have been thinking of doing the Look Good Feel Better workshop in the New Year. I definitely need the help! Congrats on only 9 more days before your last chemo. Wow, this is great another of us coming to the end. Well done.
I too am chasing my surgeon appt. My surgery should be mid March to early April but I asked for the appt with surgeon early in the New Year as I want to make sure everything is lined up and I know exactly what is happening. Good luck with your appt.
@emsd2025 Lovely pic of your daughter, hope you all had a lovely Christmas with your Mum and you were able to switch off and focus on your lovely family. Hope your Mum is doing OK.
@buggeringon Good luck with your last paclitaxel today – that’s great news and also that you will have most of January off. Enjoy getting your picc line out and having a bath. ![]()
@bellbert Sounds lovely to have second Christmas to look forward to in late Feb. You are right, it is so nice to be thinking ahead and things that we can do once we have finished treatment – and its all getting a bit closer now.
Good luck to everyone having treatment this week and to all hope the side effects are kind over New Year. Take care everyone. xxx
