Sept 2025 chemo starters

It’s so good to see more of us getting to the end of chemo - stay strong those still going.

My post surgery recovery has been going well. By taking the Co-codamol and Ibruprofen regularly I had 3 days of minimal pain, just some discomfort. Today I’ve started getting some occasional shooting pain in my arm which on investigation is common after lymph node removal. It’s not pleasant, but luckily it’s not all the time. But it’s unpredictable when it’s going to hit which is annoying.

I just thought I’d do some more of my exercises and with the 1st shoulder shrug I got a horrendous stabbing pain - no more exercises for me tonight!

I’m due a call from one of the lovely Breast Care Nurses tomorrow morning so I’ll see if she has any advice. I have 1 more dose of Co-codamol and was planning to downgrade to paracetamol (& continuing with the Ibruprofen) but wondering if I should get a further prescription.

Does anyone have any experience with pain after lymph node removal? Any suggestions with management of it? I’m just glad I only had 3 removed!
