Sept 2025 chemo starters

Hello

@bellbert aha straight up and on to the table  feeling alot better now. I took 2 days off and went back in on Friday. Ill be having weds off after I had a chat with my boss. Yeah I think the injectiin is just keeping my legs from getting better. They have kind of stayed the same since last chemo now. Really sore hips and knees with the occasional stabbing pain somewhere on my legs or feet. I only really have one speed now and then it gets slower as the day goes on or if i do too much like the other day. Im picking up a walking stick tomorrow with flower on it aha. Hoping it will take the preassure off my right hip and allow me to walk even just a little bit further than I can. Im glad your radio is going well and your side effects are mild from it so far, and that you found the reason why you were feeling nauseous.

@emsd2025 @cridders you both look lovely enjoying the sunshine  it really has spoilt us this week hasnt it. And I agree it is freeing Kim when you decide not to care what others think. Im surprised I actually like having short hair. I feel like its brought me out of my shell a bit more, doing my makeup nice and wearing more jewellery. Glad your doing well.

@emsd2025 thanks, hope your not too sore. When did you hear about your radiotherapy? Like how long before you got a start date to actually starting. I havent heard anything yet. Oh gosh, like you said hopefully just scar tissue on the lump. I keep getting a little pain where my tumour was. The same pain I got while it was there. And when I was on chemo. Its doesn’t half play on your mind that it could be something else. Or it’s growing again even tho its been taken out. Aswell as the aches and pains. Is that something ? Do I need a full body scan to put my mind at ease….yes yes i do. Hope your ok.

@dizzy3 yeah it’s a proper mix of side effects. I didnt think I would get any from the injection because they drill into you all the ones you can get from chemo. Im so glad your surgery went well. Hope you can have your drains out soon. Deodorant wise I’ve only just started wearing mine again and it’s one called wild I think which is a refillable, kind of like a roll on soap.

@buggeringon that sounds really good of your employers. Mine haven’t rushed me back but I felt I was letting people down if I didn’t. I did do a week each round of chemo back at work. But I’m also only on SSP. So from going from full time hours to only getting that was a big drop. Yeah allow yourself some proper time off. Switch off from work and focus on yourself. I wish I could have more off, and I may yet depending on when radio is and for how long. Glad your recovery from radio is going well and your feeling more yourself in more ways than one  your right about this part where everything had slowed down. Think thats what I have done, rushed into thinking im back to normal when I’m no where near.

@story1 happy to hear your healing nicely. Aha hopefully writing constipation isn’t as uncomfortable as it is for the bowels. Ohh a 2 hour walk sounds amazing. It really has been good walking weather this week. Luckily just a cold. If the temp had stayed longer I would have rang. Im my own worst enemy at times because I worry about wasting people’s time. Aha proper made me chuckle…Barbara Ha. I had a lady when I said what type of cancer I had said ‘oh thats survivable’ and just brushed it off. It was like a hit to the face.

@cathie2 I did thanks. Lots more rest to come aswell aha how much longer have you got to wait for your radiotherapy now ?

@anim4l I hope your doing ok. Glad you had your drains out and are healing well.
