Hi Dudley
Your a little ahead of me, I’m off for my 4th rad today with 12 more to go. It’s about a 3 hr round trip but my husband, daughter and friends are taking it in turns to drive me which is nice. I have been using the aqueous cream as advised and so far so good.
Hope yours treatments are going well and good luck remaining rads

Hi Caz

I had my 4th today but I have another 19 to go! Everything seems to be going okay - hope you are too

Thanks Sharon. I’ve just got back from my session, it seemed to go a lot quicker today or maybe I’m just getting used to it. I had been complaining about not being able to wear deodorant on my left side and the rad nurse suggested I try the Aloe Vera deodorant stick sold at the McMillan unit so I’m going to give it a go, it cost £5.25 I hope it works.
Good luck everybody

Hi Caz

After today I only have 3 more left apart from it taking a big chunk out of the day it has been fine. Im alittle sore under arm but I think they allowing me steroid cream today hope yours are going fine. I cant believe how quick it goes although I feel like i’m in waiting room more than my living room.

Hi Heather
7 down 11 to go. Feeling a little low this weekend, I’ve been a bit sore round the nipple and a bit red under the breast. I’m creaming like mad so fingers crossed.
Tried the deodorant hasn’t worked that well for me, It’s a firm stick type and I will have to stop using it if my skin gets sore because you have to apply pressure to put it on. I’m convinced my left side is smellier than my rights since the op. Any one else found this?
Another post recommended steroid cream, hope that works well for you.

My breast went scarlet and sooo itchy and sore. Hospital gave me steroid cram (tiniest tube) which didn’t seem to help much so I contacted my BC nurse who suggested Flamozine which I got from my GP and it works much better for me. I use it alternately with the pure Alo Gel ( so cooling). I am just losing the first layer of skin from my almost black nipple, but the itching etc is so much better and the redness is going down a treat.
Norma

Hi Norma
My nipple has certainly become a lot darker and I’m not even half way through. Sounds as if your skin is on the road to recovery so good luck.
I’m going to give the Holland and Barrett Aloe Vera Gel a go. I had been advised to check purity with my onc but just read another post which has confirmed it’s 99.9% pure so I’ll get it.
