finished rads dec 2010 following wle for early breast cancer my boob still aches occasionally especially underneath on my rib Im on tamoxifen so hot flushes are horrendous!!! Is this normal to still have aches

hi zea. i was dx oct 2009 with grade and stage one bc. had 15 lots of rads which i finished just over a year ago. ive been on tamoxifen and zoladex for a year now. i had a lot of pain in my ribs and scar a few months ago. went to my gp she thought i strained my self but sent me for a chest xray that came back fine. when i went to see my consultant she said it was all down to surgery and rads and could take time for things to get back to normal. the lady what did my first mammogram after surgery said she had known women and they were still having aches after ten tears. if it carrys on talk to your bc nurse. xxx gaynor

I am still having Rads, number 9 today of 15 so I dont really know about aches yet. However I am on Tamoxifen and having terrible hot flushes too, especially at night. Anything we can do to help this ?

good luck with the rads I kept some aloe vera gel in the fridge when I had mine (fron holland & barrett)it really helps after rads have finished as boob gets q. hot and itchy for a couple of weeks.
I am thinking of going to my gp about the hot flushes as affecting my sleep quite badly I have tried the usual herbal remedies but still as bad
