hello everyone. well its been exactly a year since i was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, i had lumpectomy x2 to get clear margins and i had 17 rads and am now on aromasis, switched from tamoxifen after 2 months due to severe side effects… in 4 weeks time i have to go back to the breast clinic for my first mammogram post cancer… im so scared… how are they ever going to do a mommogram im still quite sore and achey. im terrified they will find something else… im already wakeing in the night overcome with dread i feel i should be strong. but im quivering as i write this , i know im lucky my cancer was caught early and it had not spread to my lymph glands , but im so scared… when will this nightmare ever be bearable ?

Yes - i promise you it will get more bearable - definitely.
I am waiting for mammo results 3 years after diagnosis. 3 years ago this time i was in a terrible anxious state, i could not carry on with any kind of normal life.
now, while am still anxious, things have hugely improved as they will for you.
Please try only to take one step at a time. Don’t go down the road of “what if this, what if that happens” this is the best advice i was ever given.
Remember a) you had bc b) they removed it with no sign of any spread - thats GOOD! c) if - and its a very big if - they find anything, it will be found early and dealt with so you can get on with life.

Sorry if i confused you. its just a word used to push a topic to the top of the list of latest posts so it does not get missed.
As you may notice its a very busy place with posts going on all the time so its just a way of putting a post back at or near the top. you will see it in some other posts. Doesn’t mean anything other than that.
