I all had my first fec on Monday and feel fine , I was a little sick on monday night and could not sleep a lot on Monday night think this was due these steroid I was given so slept a little on Tuesday morning but feel a lot better today, I am a mother of two little girls and I am looking after them just resting when they are, I have found that the you get the sick feeling just eat something little and it seem to take it away, hope I continue to feel like this is there any one els who has been feeling the same after there first fec ?

I’m not on the same regime as you, but have you found the thread for people starting chemo in March?
If not, go back to the menu on the left and select undergoing treatment:chemotherapy. There is a thread entitled Spring into Match Chemo, where you’ll find everyone at the same stage as you, if that is helpful.

Just had my first treatment on tue fec like your self. i was very sick. but please god it seems to b settling down. im lucky that my kids are much older an can fend for them selves. an like your self im saying if this is the only side effect i hav 2 deal with il b counting my blessings. Anyway thats 1 outa the way. Mite check out the thread for March so hope to see you on ther .

I’m on the valentine thread , had 2 Fec so far, my first round I had terrible nausea for the first 10 days , I did find eating little & often helped , I never felt hungry tho. After 10 days of feeling like i had a hangover I mentioned it to my onc before round 2 & was given different meds ( Emend ) & was fantastic as it stopped nausea in round 2 , others have rang for different meds before seeing their onc. Finally if u get a burning , toxic feeling , which I did , I was given Omoprazole which I take every day & really helped , my gp gave me it & I know a few of us take it .
good luck & hope the SE’s are manageable everyone is different but I improve by day 10 so hang on in there
