Hi Yasemin

Not sure have you started your kimo yet- but i just read a very interest airtcle , which related to Oncotype Dx- for women has early stage breast cancer and ER positive to access through this test to decide how much they 's benefit from Chemo.

My tumour was triple negative so i could not take this test. But i guess for you it does not hurt to ask your onc to see if the test is offered in your hosiplta. My understanding is that this test is still in it very early stage so it might not be widely known yet.

Here is the link and good luck with everyhing

I asked my onc about this test as it is more widely used in USA. He agreed that research is still in the early stages in this country but reckoned that it would become more widely available in future years. When i asked if i could pay privately to have this test done he said that was not possible as the tumour needs to be packaged at time of surgery in a special way to be sent off for testing. Not sure if this was a fob off but he seemed an honest guy.
I decided to go down the chemo route and have jut finished. (my benefit was 5.6%)

Best wishes
