2nd opinion has anyone sought a second opinion? i was thinking about this in the future if i need to and i wondered if anyone can suggest a really good breast (mets ) specialist within the uk?

tracy a poster on this site wrote that you can ask to be referred to a centre of excellence hospital where you can be tested, diagnosed and prescribed treatment which can be carried out at your area hospital. Very useful info for a good move.

The Royal Marsden based in Sutton, Surrey and London.

I go for second opinions at the Marsden and I am very impressed. Stephen Johnson, specialising in metastatic breast cancer is great.

thanks seascape , does your original oncologist still give you treatment and support? who supplies the drugs the marsden or your local hospital? i think the marsden is where i will def go for an opinion in the future .

Hi Tract
I still have my treatment locally and my team support whatever decisions I make, even though I feel they do not always agree with the Marsden’s opinion.
