So glad I found this group. I found a lump in my left breast about 3 weeks ago, GP referred me to the Breast Clinic and I had my appointment yesterday. I had a mamogram, then ultrasound but they wasn’t happy so done another mamogram then back in for ultrasound again!
Dr said that she wasn’t too concerned about the lump but had found 2 other masses which she wasn’t sure what they are. Because of this I had 3 biopsies taken. I need to go back next Wednesday for the results.
They said both my breasts were full of cysts but for my age (42) this was ‘normal’. But it’s really worrying me.
I’m a bit sore today and not feeling that positive really.
Nice to talk to people that have. Even there are are going through the same thing.

Hello and welcome :).
The way you are feeling is perfectly normal, it is fear of the unknown but try as much as you are able to distract yourself until your appointment next week.
When I was your age I had on 3 or 4 occasion to have cyst drained and there are a lot of ladies on here who have had lumps which have turned out to be cysts so it is normal.
The doctor is being thorough and that is very re-assuring, even though she has found these masses it does not mean that it will be cancer there are many other breast conditions it can be.
The soreness is quite usual following biopsies and it will settle down in the next day or so.
Please stay away from googling generelly on the internet it will only provide you with out of date and misinformation which will just cause you more anxiety.
This website is a great sources of information, help and support as you appear to be finding out already.
