Hi everyone! I had a single mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction April 2025, and having completed chemotherapy and radiotherapy since, I’m considering whether I want to have the 3D nipple tattoo or not. I was offered the nipple reconstruction surgery from my plastic surgeon in December but I really don’t want that. I was placed on the wait list for a tattoo at the plastics clinic with the reconstruction nurse, but when I was called for it I declined. I’m worried that if I don’t like it I’m stuck with it! I have had a really good surgical outcome and am relatively happy how it looks, so really undecided!
Has anyone had it done? Do you like it? Would you recommend it? Good and bad experiences welcome please!
