Hi.
Im hopefully coming to the end of my poor healing breast reduction and I saw my surgeon today because of issues of cramp in my stomach.
He’s finally going to refer me for an ultrasound and hopefully iron out that problem.
At the end of the appointment, he mentioned that we previously discussed 3D tattooing of the areola; the final stages of all this, but I know nothing about it. It’s almost like a secret treatment performed somewhere in this hospital. I didn’t even know it was done by the breast care nurses. They’ve never mentioned this to me in the few visits I’ve had to see them. No literature, no leaflets nothing.
Why is this? Is this the same at other hospitals around the country or just mine.
It’s probably something I couldn’t have if at all (got to get the ok, for Rheumatology first) until beginning of next year, so that both breasts are completely settled down, but in the meantime i can’t understand why everything else to do with breast cancer is promoted or publicised by all these health professionals, but not this!
