Hello to all you lovely people who have responded to my posts about starting Trodelvy and for all your good wishes. I had my scan results last week and I was amazed to hear from my consultant that, although the radiographer considered my liver mets to be stable, my (usually cautious!) consultant was of the opinion that there had been a positive response in both my spinal tumour and my liver mets. He showed me the scans and talked me through his thoughts and, even to my layman’s eye, I could definitely see shrinkage and less black, so I am going with my consultant on this one! He gently said that it was “the best possible news we could have hoped for” but that “we would scan in three months and see what happens”. I know things can change so quickly but, for now, I am taking this as a win! He also assured me that Trodelvy was not my last option but would absolutely not commit to any further treatment thoughts and he said this would be very much based on my scan result. This makes sense. It was just a huge comfort to hear. So, for all of those possibly starting Trodelvy, I hope this brings a small amount of hope that it can work and does work. With love x
This is just so encouraging to read - thank you so much for posting. I am waiting to possibly start Trodelvy and your post fills me with happiness
I’m glad it brought some happiness and I wish you the absolute best going forward. Please do let me know how you are doing. With love x
Rather than starting Trodelvy I am on taxol weekly now, and early results show it has reduced my liver mets so continuing with this.
Hattie how are you doing ?
Hi Christine
I am so very happy to hear from you and so pleased that early results are so encouraging. Let’s hope this continues for a long time indeed. I’m so glad you let me know. I’m doing ok, thank you. Scan looming in three weeks so am
keeping myself busy! Still coping with Trodelvy pretty well and we managed to walk 68 miles over a week in the highlands recently which I was very pleased about. Struggling a bit with nerve pain so trying to get to grips with that…. And the elusiveness of sleep! Please do keep
In touch and let me know how you are doing. My love and best of wishes xx
Hi Hattie1204
I hope you are doing well. I only recently joined this forum but my mum is going to start Trodelvy soon. She is in a similar position in relation to liver mets. We live in fear about how it will all unfold but it is good to hear experiences of those in a similar position. I hope you are doing ok. If you have any updates on how you or others are finding the troldelvy it would be so much valuable to hear. Thank you and best wishes to you
