I’ve been told I will have 4 to 6 rounds of EC I’ve got to 4 and it has been a struggle for about 10 days of each cycle then start to pick up again. I’m wondering what forms the basis of deciding to carry on for 2 more rounds or stopping now? I’ve been told it depends on how I respond to treatment and the oncologist is happy if I get to 4 but what does that mean? I feel like I could just about push through another 2 but do I need to? What is the benefit? Any help would be appreciated please.
Hi sallychloe
Thanks for your post. You don’t mention which side effects you’re experiencing but we know chemotherapy can be a struggle and it’s understandable you’re asking what the benefit is of continuing to six rounds of EC if four is enough.
