I came across the above today which suggests a 5% provision can be applied for for children with a relative with cancer, not well publicised, well worth a read / researching.

I am an exams invigilator and yes, any child suffering from any kind of emotional or physical need can apply for special consideration to be taken into account. Ask to speak to the school/colleges Exams Officer who will tell you what you need to do. Exam boards don’t have to take note of this but most do, especially if it something like a mum with cancer.
