5 years treatment…but still young

5 years treatment…but still young Please can anyone help?
Diagnosed age 36
Multiple small tumours, no lymph involved- mastectomy
NO chemo or radiotherapy needed!
Oestrogen +ve, Zoladex- terrible side effects, 5 years Tamoxifen nearly finished…HURRAY! One ovary removed as developed cyst but one still in overdrive and am pre-menopausal still. Can anyone tell me what will happen if my hormones return to normal? My onc seems to be bit confused whether I’ll need more treatment or not. I know most younger women tend to have more extensive treatment but would love to hear from anyone who didn’t have chemo/rads!

hello whizzy I am older than you, diagnosed this year, age 46. However I have not had chemo or rads. I am er+ ( strongly apparently 7/8) had a 1 1/2 cm lump removed, had unclear margins, and so required a mastectomy and reconstruction. Nodes were clear. The only other treatment I am having is Tamoxifen. This did worry me, but I have looked at the latest research/best practice and my treatment seems to fit.
The only other thing that has been briefly mentioned by breast care nurse was the possibility of some further treatment after Tamoxifen if I am at that stage post menopausal. From experience if there is a question or query in your mind , it is best to ask someone otherwise you can’t get it out of your mind, I know I can’t !!
