50% reduction in Bone mets??

Having read Irene M and Geobars discussion in August about Bonefos reducing the risk of bone mets by 50% and Minxie dicussion about Alendronic acid my sister asked her GP for the drug. Her GP said he had not heard of it reducing the risk of bone mets, but her oncologist said there was some research into this going on.
Is anybody on this trail or knows anything about this ?
It seems these days if you don’t ask or push you don’t get! Look at Jane Tomlinson, Disgusting, not being given the best drugs when she needed them.
Any advise ,information would be most appreciated
best wishes to all you ladies

Alendronic Acid [Fosamax] is used for osteoporosis. See here what Cancer Backup says: tinyurl.com/2eemwd

I would do a bit more research into Fosamax if I were you.
