I’m not going to type the names again but the names above are the type of Chemo I will be having over 6 sessions starting in approx 4 weeks after surgery equates to about 5 and a half months. Are any of you having this cocktail and how has it made you feel?
Spoke to the Chemo doctor today, who went through the side affects. I am going to give the cold cap a bash - if the temp in the hospital today is anything to go by, a cooling sensation may be nice whether it works or not! I asked about a line of some sort and we are going down the Canula route which again scares me…
I found out I am triple negative hormone thingy not really sure what that means but he said its not great - don’t know if he meant in terms of my fertility problems at present having PCOS… I have been asked to take part in a trial with would add another 6 months to my treament making it a total of a year this will involve a line being put in - but it may give me 15% more chance of it not comming back. I guess if it makes me better I would be better doing it in the long run… have any of you done or are doing the trial (Adjuvant Bevacizumab)?
Also bought my first Mastectomy bra today - from M&S so I’m ready to go… Its quite pretty actually its pink satin - thought it would make me feel girly when I come home!!
I feel a bit more positive about it… still s****** myself about it, but I have to do what I have to do!!!
