I am new to this site and a firster timer to any forum. I come from Essex and I’m aged 47.
I was diagnoised with breast cancer in September and under went FEC chemo and then hormone treatment, after a nine week delay when my notes got lost in the system, they then thought the cancer had gone to my bones but thankfully my scan was clear. know I should feel greatful but I am not quite feeling it at the moment. not been given much info hope others can help me. Cant stop crying at the moment.
You’re in the right place. Let us know a bit more about what has happened to you. The lost notes part sounds like it must have been awful, then the scare on your bones. You’ve not had it easy. Did you get surgery and radiotherapy, and are you now on the hormone treatment? It’s great news that your bone scan was clear, but if you feel you don’t know what’s happening now, just ask here. We’ve all been through it or are going through it, or are here on behalf of somebody who is.
I’m 45 and was diagnosed in December and had a lumpectomy on Christmas Eve. There was no spread thankfully, but I am now on dose 3 of 8 (7 months in total) of chemo (E-CMF), followed by radiotherapy and 5 years on Tamoxifen (hormone treatment). That’s all because of the size of my tumour, my age (pre-menopausal) and the fact that I am hormone receptive too. It’s a long, slow process, and it can be a very lonely, scary road, but there is so much support on this forum.
I hope you feel ok about posting again. Don’t worry about asking anything at all. We’re here with you.
Hi Sharon,
i notice that you come from Essex, there is a thread with quite a number of ladies on it who also come from there, I have posted a link below which I hope will work.
