a natural lotion to use with radiation.

I was fortunate to be able to do 4 weeks of radiaton, 5 days a week.  Before I started my radiation I was given a jar of cream to use by a friend.  It was put together by a lady who uses natural essential oils.  I ran it by my radiation doctor who said it can’t hurt you and we are seeing a lot of good results with oils.  So it is now four weeks later, I can see a little pink in my breast, no sores, no blisters, it is great.  Hopefully you will be able to find something similar.  I hope this helps others as it has worked for me.  I will be putting it on for the next two weeks as well but know I will be fine.

I found Aloe gel to work very well, once straight after treatment and then just before bedtime.

Advice pleas - Which Aloe Vera product from H&B is the best? TKU in advance

Hi Eileen, TKU Just looked online & I’d have chosen that one too.

Hi all

I went for the 99.9% gel without any of the additives (tea tree oil etc) as well on the basis that the purer the Aloe Vera the better. I’m also told that although Aloe Vera is very soothing, it can be quite drying so it is best to mix it with your aqueous cream/E45 lotion and apply it that way.  I haven’t actually started my rads yet so don’t have any personal experience, it’s just a tip I picked up from someone else on here

xx
