To my wonderful Dad who passed away today, aged 82. A cancer survivor himself, having undergone brutal cobalt radiotherapy over 20 years ago for throat cancer, he was an inspiration to me when diagnosed and a comfort to my family who becasue of him know that cancer is beatable.
I’ll miss him so much, he was such a brave man. Thankfully I spoke to him yesterday and I told him they must not worry about me as I’m going to be fine. Now I’m going to make sure I am for him
I think the word inspiration was a good one for you to use. Your dad sounds like a very special person and so do you. Please accept my condolences and know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Cecelia
my condolences on the loss of your wonderful dad…He sounds like a very strong courageous man, I am sure you have many happy memories of your lives together.
I put this on another post a couple of days ago. I think it says so much and I am so sorry for you and your Dad. My prayers are with and your family at this sad time.
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he’ll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he’s left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he’s gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he wants
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Sending my love and condolences to you and your family at this time on the loss of your dad. Hopefully he is at peace now. Will be thinking of you and sending lots of cyberhugs.

Take care of yourself, thinking of you during this very sad and difficult time,
