A Weighty Problem?

Count me in too, i’ve started to resemble a telly tubby and the Letrozole isn’t helping x

Have just been and stocked up on my favourite Westons ciders for the last boozy weekend before the big weigh in!!!Then start the diet from Monday morning.Chips, pizza washed down with a pint or 2 for Saturday treat.Good luck to all,
Di.x

Im taking this very seriously you know ( lol ) just been swimming only managed 4 lengths before nearly having a coronary but its a start

Good luck one and all on first week , only 5 days to weigh in x

18th and final herceptin in the bag and port comes out in a fortnight - should help with the weight loss!!!
And so should having my hair cut on Monday too - every little helps!

I am so much in need of joining you all. So here goes - mouth shut to all rubbish, Carbs and Fat. Picture of my fat self on fridge door and alcohol to be limited to Gin. Scales that weigh backwards obtained from the Wild Wood! Slimming girdles from M&S.
Oestrogen gets stored in fat so no fat nothing to store it.
See you with at least a stone gone by Christmas
Cackles

Defo need some of those scales that weigh backwards, Cackles - please send me a set ASAP

I would like to join too. I just finished radiotherapy , still couple of chemo to go. I have put on 10kg plus since my diagnosis in feb. I hope to loose weight and eat sensibly.

3 days to weigh in…

OK, you gals - today is Sunday and weigh-in day so you can come out from hiding behind the biscuit tins now and reveal all.
I have lost 1.2Kg which I am pleased about as at least it is a loss so the scales are moving in the right direction. A long way to go yet so I will keep on willing myself to do 30 minutes on the cross trainer every day. Not easy when you have caught a stinking cold and your head is thumping, but as they say ‘no pain no gain’!
All I am doing other than the 30 minutes on the cross trainer is eating less and drinking less wine - no faddy diets and then hopefully I won’t give up although you lot will keep me going, I hope!!!
Haircut tomorrow and chiropodist on Friday so hoping for a great result next week with less hair and toenails!!!

OMG!! Havent weighed myself in ages, horrified to weigh 12 stone 5lbs,diet starts tomorrow, going to comfort eat and drink tonight!!Would ideally like to be 11 stone,so thats my target, good luck to all you dieters out there and well done Mazz on the weightloss so far.

Well I’m the same as last Sunday but at least I’ve not put more on ! I was fairly good a few days but it went a bit pear shaped towards the weekend. Only finished rads Tues so wont be too hard on myself. I did manage a walk Sat and today but fitness levels are fairly dire. Don’t hold out too much hope for this week either as going out for lunch Tues and away Wed and thurs on a girly spa thing!! If I stay the same I’ll be quite pleased.
Goal for this week is to do at least 30 mins exercise a day, a walk or cycle (not sure I can manage 30 mins on my bike at the moment!).
Good luck everyone,
Gaynor x

Sorry, forgot to say Well Done Mazzalou !!

Not a very good week, I put on a bit of weight not much, but enough to get the scales going the wrong way. In my defence, I had. A business trip and lways eat too much for breakfast in the hotel, plus Hungarian foodnis really greasy. I came back and spent all day Saturday drinking with friens…
Well done Mazzalou, keep going.

I did so well for two days then went to the boat with friends and ate far too many carbohydrates. However winter is now here so hopefully less gallivanting about . Ever since diagnosis I have been out for lunch at least once or twice a week. It must stop soon. The problem is I am greedy and love eating and cooking.
Onwards and upwards

Hi Mazzalou, that’s a great idea, I’m bigger thabefore a pre cancer, and dearly want to loose the extra me lol, I finish rads on the 10th October, so will join you on the Thursday  xx

Cackles I have the same problem as you, having lunch out at least once a week with friends from work, and doing a lot of baking, comfort cooking and eating lol, but yes I agree it has to stop and soon before I have to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes xx

Humpff !! Ive only lost a pound … started the week well swimming/exercising and eating good food but sort of went a bit off the rails last few days, oh well hey ho at least I lost a pound an didnt put any on , so far thats 6lbs since finishing rads 3rd sept so canr t be too disappointed , good luck for next week one and all

Well done Mazzalou , thats a great result  x

Don’t be too hard on yourself Janice - 6lbs in a month is nearly half a stone - very impressive. Are you sure that your scales were the right way up Vercors and that you weren’t reading them back-to-front!
See you soon Rad ladies but keep on slapping on the old aqueous cream in the meantime and doing your post-surgery exercises even after your rads have finished.
Now, could that be why I have put on weight - has my body absorbed the copious amounts of aqueous cream that I coated myself in?

First weigh in today and I would like to lose 2lbs this week. I am not going to say how much I actually weigh. I am hoping to achieve my target weight of 9 stone before Christmas. I have a meal out on Wednesday and a weekend away coming up. These are my weaknesses - cider cheese and bread!!
Will try my hardest this week.
