I had mx and reconstruction with expander and ANC on 12 May. My boob has swelled up to a D cup with all the lymph fluid which is yet to find a new route out. Anyone got any experience of this?
Well a strange thing I find is that when I have a cold drink I can feel it cold in my new boob and also with hot but less obvious. Anyone else get this and does it improve? Is it just because I’ve got so much fluid in my breast?

Well, I thought it was just me having weird feelings! I didn’t have the same surgery as you, but I had 5 lymph nodes removed at the same time as WLE and since then whenever I drink cold water I feel the coldness in my armpit! I suppose everything’s connected somehow…

Hi Carole, just spotted this and yes I have the same, it was really noticeable for a few weeks after mastectomy in December, especially with cold drinks, but it does get better or maybe you just get used to it, but I hardly notice it now 6 months later ?
