Abdominal ultrasound

Hi there… I just wondered if anyone knows if an abdominal ultrasound request is standard practice when between number five and six chemo when being treated for breast cancer?? I received my letter out of the blue and I’m beginning to worry? This has never been mentioned when seeing my oncologist! The only scan she was going to arrange was a bone density scan prior to having bone meds?

I’ve no idea, but as I have Crohn’s Disease too, I have been called in twice for abdominal ultrasound when my rotine blood tests have indicated possible liver or pancreatic inflammation. Could that be it in your case? xxx
