I currently have stage 4 breast cancer and was on 150mg of abemaciclib starting on 3 Oct 2024 until I developed drug induced pneumonitis in early January 2025 so was taken off abemaciclib but kept on monthly fulvestrant injections with denosumab A CT scan on 8th march 25 showed continuing inflamation in the lungs after a period of treatment on steroids At a meeting with my oncologist on 15 march 25 it was agreed to continue to suspend abemaciclib until after another CT scan We discussed changing from abemaciclib to palbociclib or reducing the 150 mg dosage I am wondering if anyone else has gone onto a reduced dosage and what if any side affects you have had or if anyone has moved from abemaciclib to palbociclib and if this was a better drug to be on I have had CT scan on 14th and have a meeting on 28th to discuss the results andmake a decision on the way forward with this treatment
