I have had bone mets for 6 years which were all kept stable by Aromasin (12 months) then Faslodex (5 years) until last January when I had spread to my lymphs and had 6 sessions of FEC, my first experience of chemo as I never had any at my original diagnosis (2002).
The latest scan shows growth in the lymphs in my chest plus a new one in my neck which I could feel and from which a biopsy has been done to see if the pathology has changed any and whether it has become HER2 positive. Results of that this Thursday but oncologist has already indicated that I will start a course of Abraxane x 6. (Would be combined with Herceptin if that becomes relevant)
Just wondered what your experiences of Abraxane were, is it easier than FEC as far as side effects go and how effective was it for you.?
Any info greatly appreciated , I am finding it hard to get my head around the latest developments and have a sense of déjà vue as it was almost exactly 12 months ago that I started the FEC.
