I have Advanced Metastatic Carinoma of the right breast. I have just discussed more treatment and I am going to start Abraxine next week . Has anyone had this type of chemo…would be grateful for any feedback. Thankyou

Happy to be corrected but I think ths is in the Taxotere family group but a bit gentler in terms of its side effects
Abraxane (note spelling 
) contains the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel.

I couldn’t find it on CRUK’s Cancerhelp site.
Paclitaxel is known to many of us as Taxol, often given weekly.

I am about to start Pacitaxel ( weekly) on Tuesday. It’s supposed to be better tolerated… I wait to see! lol.

Cheers for the feedback…I know the background and makeup of the drug (what’s a type o between comrades) it was the effects of it that I was interested in…is it similar to the Taxols…thanks
