Aches & Pains

Hi

Over the last couple of days I have been experiencing the types of aches and pains I had whilst having Taxol, I had bone and joint aches and periphral neuropathy, I finished my chemo in Feb. I do have a general virus at the moment and am generally rundown and I wondered if the virus is just aggravating any weak spots, it feels like I have gone back to the chemo days but nowhere near as severe. Also I am triple neg so I am on no other treatments and not going through the menopause.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this, avoiding the GP as they are fairly useless.

Thankyou

Rizzo

Hi,

I have aches and pains all the time, they come and go. Mostly mine are in my back, shoulder and ribs. I have really painful breasts too with my cycle which doesn’t help! I’ve just had a clear bone scan and my mammo was clear in Jan, so I suspect it’s all down to the intense treatment we’ve been through! I would get your aches and pains checked out anyway.

Sonya

Hi have you talked to your breast care nurse? judy x

yep all the time - like sonya, they come and go - they’ve been so bad recently and I’ve been so tired that I’ve been back to see my oncologist who thinks there’s nothing to worry about but i’ve still had a couple of scans just to ease my mind (I get the feeling they think it’s psychosomatic!)

Hi Rizzo

as madbadger says I could have written that post and it makes me feel much better I am not alone I am having tests this monday and tuesday bone and ultrasound so I am keeping my fingers crossed

Hi Glad its just not me i have had back ache off and on for weeks now. The trouble is you keep putting it to the back of your mind but it is a little worrying we all think the worst thats the trouble with human nature.

Come on Girls we have to stay positive its not going to beat us yet.

I see my consultant on Fri so i’m going to have a word.

They havent mentioned scans or anything can you request bone scans etc or do they have to advise whether to send you or not

Take Care all of you

Hi

Thankyou for all your replies, aches and pains have calmed down for the moment so am going to put them to the back of my mind for a while, still trying to cope with the lack of energy but I was told that, that will improve with time.

Good luck to all you girls having tests and I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that they all come back negative.

Take care

Rizzo
