Acupunture

Last week I was lucky enough to go to one of the Breast Cancer Haven s´and received my very first acupunture session .It was brilliant , and I truely felt quite relaxed , yet invigorated after . Got to have some more of that .
Initially it was to help with menopausal symtoms including irritability ( thats being polite …actually I think it´s more like homicidal tendancies !! ) plus other assorted aches and pains .
Anyone else out there had experience of acupunture ?

Hi

I have been having acupuncture and it’s been great. I feel like it has really helped with my energy and mood a lot. And would totally recommend it, especially going through chemo. But i will probably keep it up now.

Have been to the Haven a couple of times, it is such a lovely place a real sanctuary.

Hi
I’ve been having acupuncture at the Haven in Hereford with someone who also works at the London Haven. Its had a significant effect each time (three so far) - I’ve had more energy and clarity after each session, and I’ve also felt as if I’ve had interesting insights into the way I’ve been dealing with life/diagnosis etc. I’ve experienced only very slight discomfort during the needling - and he’s been careful not to go anyway near my BC side arm area. Definitely recommend it - I went to realign myself (self image) after bilateral mastectomy though I think many people use it for symptom relief, etc.
Cheers

I´m trying now that I´m back at home to find someone qualified here so that I can continue .
Trouble with living in Spain , there are an awful lot of "self styled experts ", I certainly don´t want to end up with one of those .
I really was very impressed with both the acupunture and with "The Haven ", look forward very much to a return trip next year .
I do envy you girls being able to visit it at will , but I mean that in a nice way .
