Advice on appt and symptoms

Have I got breast cancer? Appointments and waiting for test results

Hi all,

At the end of May I noticed a little dimple on my left breast and some white patches on my right breast. I went to the doctors who gave me some cream to use for 2 weeks for the patches and if it didn’t work to go back. The cream didn’t work, I now have more white patches and I’ve noticed 2 more dimples. I’ve got an appointment with the Breast Care Clinic on Wednesday to be checked. 

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced these symptoms before. And will I have answers at my appointment or will I have to wait for any results?

They will do a clinical exam first (as in touching and feeling your breasts), and then based on what they think it is, they may recommend scans (mammo and/or ultrasound) and may also follow up with a biopsy if they did like to further investigate it. Oh and sorry, forget to also add that if a biopsy is done, then yes you may need to wait a couple of days for your results. You can ask what they think it is and some doctors/nurses may give you an indication. All the best darling x
