Advice wanted please

Advice wanted please

Advice wanted please Hi Everyone,
Wonder if you could help me please. Pardon me if this sounds crude but over the past couple of weeks now. I have noticed the lack of ability to push when I need to have my bowels open. I thought I was imagining it at first. But now I just seem to be passing wind and not much else. I think the reason being is that I am losing the sensation to be able to push at all. I keep forgetting to mention it to my macmillan nurse, and each time I see my Onc I also forget as my train of thought seems to be off somewhere else. I am going mad, or can this really be happening?
Hope you can help me - thank you - Poplarlady xx

Hi there Poplarlady…yes I have heard of this happening and I think it could be a problem connected to your spine…I would ask the Mac Nurse or your Onc so it can be dealt with.
Best Wishes! x

Hi,

Totally agree with Belinda you need to bring this up with your healthcare team as soon as you can. May be nothing but ,you need to be sure.

Re: Advice Wanted Kiwi and Belinda, Hi ladies, thanks for the replies to my post. I went to see the clinical Onc before I started my RT last week. Told him about my prob and he looked puzzled and said that he had never heard of this before. He asked if I had lost any sensation around my bottom (A) and I said a little. He then told me not to worry too much, and he did’nt seem the slightest bit bothered!!! However I will now see my own Onc and ask her? I was rather shocked at his answer!
Thankfully at the mo, I do not need to strain or push due to the RT.
But come Monday I shall phone her, as I am still not satisfied.
I will keep you posted, Thanks again - Poplarday xx

Hi again…yes I would phone too…Take Care…Belinda…x

Hi i also noticed this problem back in nov before i was even dx i thought it was due to my osteoporosis, i also started to get a buzzing sensation in my right leg if i laid on my back. was dx with bone mets at same time as bc so think i ought to mention this to onc on thusday and ask if bottom of my spine was where hot spots showed up am petrified on ending up in a wheelchair also i do suffer from ibs. thids may also sound crude but when i lay down at night i just seem to pass wind without feeling the need if that makes sense it just pops out.
but i think we both need to metion this to our onc ( won’t metion mac nurse as she is about as much help as a chocolate fireguard but that’s another story) Denisex
