Advise- Pain in shoulder

Hi All

I had left mastectomy and node clearance in May and have had chemo 4 EC and 2 tax with 2 to go, had a bone scan the week before chemo which was clear, tumour was grade 3 ER pos and HER2 pos 7 node infected. Had Line put in right side of chest on 4th Sept as veins packed in.
I have since had a pain in my shoulder which originally came on in the evenings. I mentioned this 2 weeks ago to BCN she thought could be the fact they had to push an shove a lot to get the line in and it may settle down. I know tax is supposed to cause aching joints but it is only my shoulder which aches, the aches/pain is now more constant, and i am starting to really worry. Can things develope while on chemo? Has anyone else had specific aches on chemo?
I think i am looking for reasurrance but i probably know i should be relaying these fears to my Onc but i guess i am scared.
Any advise would be appreciated

I know where your fears are coming from. I too had shoulder pain during and after chemo, and a lump appeared. Was xrayed and finally bone scanned. All clear. Was sent for physio which really helped. All I can suggest is keep asking your med team, they know you best. Chemo does make you ache, with me it was all over at times, but constent in the 1 shoulder.

Thanks Irene, I think we always fear the worst, i sometimes wonder if i am imagining things, i have chemo Wednesday so will mention it again to my BCN.
