All Done! (For now - I hope!)

Hoobloodyray! 25th of 25 zaps all done yesterday! Thought I’d have a nice lazy day - instead of rushing back and forth to ‘that’ place; however, decided to clear out the garage, and was I sorry. Cream crackered - to say the least!

And - no word of a lie - as I got off the tube yesterday en route for last zap, the busker was singing “I Will Survive” and on the way back “Halleluyah” - how weird was that?! Needless to say, the waterworks started again!

Then got home, and the loveliest flowers - lilies, roses, carnations, daisies, and other stuff, were delivered all in a gorgeous, ceramic pot - with a card saying: - “To the best mum and nan ever. We are extremely proud of you. You have been extremely brave and positive throughout. Congrats on getting through it all. Lots of Love …”

So have been blubbing on and off ever since!

You know what, with the tears and the sweating … how come I’m not 7 stone?!

Good luck to everyone else still slogging away - it’s taken me nearly a year, but got there! Saying that though, got to go for results of other side’s mammogram on Monday - ‘just in case’ said the doc. So … guess it’s never really quite over!

Much love, xJacqx.

Well done…you made it to the end of rads. Enjoy your day and the good feeling. Conserve that energy, it seems to disappear all of a sudden!

Fingers crossed for you for Monday.

Great news,I remember you posting way back then.
Enjoy!

You have done so well. Congratulations and I agree with the family. Sure you will do well in the future and live for the moment and my witchy bit thinks with your outlook there are many moments to come! X

Brilliant news Jacq. I’m not far behind you as I finish rads next Weds. I was looking forward to time off to but have just received an appt to go to the jobcentre about ESA even though I have a date for returning to work. Will finish rads on my dads birthday so will be double celebrations.
Jacq take care not too go too crazy with the jobs.

Cheers Nicky, glad you’re nearly there too. It’s a really lovely feeling!

Remember all that performance I had with the ESA when I had to give up my self-employed job? Well, the guy that used to deal with me has left and his replacement has obviously let me slip through the net for a while - suits me - bloody stupid the way it’s all done.

Quite capable of finding work for myself, nearly at retirement age anyway - so why do they make such a fuss with us, when there are so many healthy layabouts getting benefits with no hassle?

Rant over … for now!

Bricking it re: Monday’s results of new mammogram. Just want to be left alone now.
