Thank you for your response it’s reassuring that you’ve managed to be clear for so long. I’m only 41 so I’m hoping the same for me.

Hi Chantelle just been reading your post and not sure how old it is? Are you still doing ok? I had 26 lymph nodes removed 23 cancerous a 46 mmm grade 3 tumour removed started chemo but think my days are numbered so scared it’s spread :cry:

Hi Chantelle thanks for your message lovely to hear off you. I have also been off the forum for a number of reasons. How are you doing ? Really hope everything is going well and not sure how far or if you’ve finished your treatment? I’m just half way through. Started my 1st docetaxel Wednesday just gone took them 5 attempts to get cannula in :weary:. So far no real side effects just the normal fatigue. Hair, eyebrows and eyelashes neatly all gone and find that hard and upsetting but make up is a wonderful thing. I had a lift a few weeks ago as my Ct scan 6 months from my last was clear:grinning:. Please let me know how you’re doing ? :kissing_heart:

Hello again Jules😘so you’re half way through chemošŸ‘šŸ¼well done….you somehow get into a flow & know what to expect & before you know it you’re done!
Sorry to hear you had a tricky cannula fitting :face_with_peeking_eye:I had a picc line fitted & having it fitted initially was a nightmare it was a godsend!
Ok, so I’m 14 months on immunotherapy (ambeciclib), letrozole & zoledex. All good, just achy joints mainly fingers & feet…I can put up with that!
I had my 3rd year mammogram last Friday & my 6 month CT scan Tuesday - just awaiting results for both:pray:t3::crossed_fingers:t3:I feel good & hoping for good results x
Thank you for messaging me & apologies for not replying for so long. Let’s keep in touch.

Hi Chantelle … yes getting there but been a rollercoaster everyone initially were telling me how high risk I was for recurrence and really messed with my mental state. Throwing everything at me radiotherapy for a week after chemo and then also going on ambeciclib and zometa and something else. So you’re 14 months in front and quite comforting to hear you’re coping with the achy joints think I could cope with that. Really hope your results from CT scan Tuesday and mammogram come back with good results everything :crossed_fingers:will be thinking of you. Please let me know. Did you lose your hair and if so is it now coming back ?

Would love to keep in touch. I have not reached out for any counselling as thought I could deal with it. Have a great family, lovely husband and daughter and beautiful 20 mth old granddaughter who I need to be around for. Sending love and hugs thanks for replying :kissing_heart::kissing_heart:

Hi @jules8 message me & we can chat on WhatsApp or something a bit more private? xx

Hi - I am new here. Just had lumpectomy and LICAP Flap repair 1.5 weeks ago. The pathology indicates that 3 of 3 lymph nodes have macrostatic cancer and one extra (outside the node) slightly; this was from Sentinal Node Biopsies/extraction.

As a result now they want to do Axillary Lymph Node Dissection. I’m still unsure what specfic lymph nodes this entails. From everything I’ve read this second surgery has sort of high risk of lymphedema and the outcomes not too much different than radiating that area. So I’m not sure whether to have that surgery. Trying to arm myself with as much info as possible before my follow up this week.

My cancer is Lobular invasive, not ductal. Don’t know much but chemo maybe not that effective. I don’t do well with drugs so I don’t like what I’m reading in here about drug side effects either.

Any thoughts on ALND or not? Thanks in advance and good luck to you all.

Did you have chemo?
I’m confused about it and about to add a topic related.

@kaq yes I did

Bless you. Stay strong x
