Anastrazole rash?

I have been on anastrazole for 6 weeks now prior to surgery and have in the past couple of days developed a rash which now spreads across my torso and upper arms, on my back and sides it is also itchy. I am worried as it seems to be getting worse

my hot flushes and the weather probably aren’t helping and I feel a bit helpless

Hi @scribbler,

Thanks for posting asking about a rash that has developed.

Skin changes such as a rash are a common side effect of anastrozole. As you say the hot flushes and the hot weather are probably adding to your symptoms. If you haven’t done so already do contact your breast care nurse, treatment team or GP to let them know so they can assess you and advise on how to manage the rash.

Our booklet menopausal symptoms and breast cancer has further information on hot flushes which you may find helpful.
