What an honest and raw account, I recognise alot of similar experiences, what an awful way to find out .

Thanks for this article - I couldn’t access the sound version. I agree this is a raw and honest account. Even in print you can recognise honesty and of course fear. Lets face it, who in their right mind isn’t frightened on some level when faced with this diagnosis.
I am grateful that things (usually in nature or landscape), still can make my heart soar. I shall now appreciate that even more now.
