I am new to this site, and I am very concerned. I suffer with two chronic illnesses and have done for 9 years now. Last week on a very hot night, I took a shower before bed and my stomach rolled over as I felt a lump. A hard lump. I was so frightened I got into bed and couldnt sleep. I tossed and turned. I am waiting for six biopsy results from my gullet and my stomach due to IBD and couldnt bear the thought of going through something else. After a sleepless night, I got an emergency appointment at my GP and after a quick examination of the breast and lump, I was immediately referred to the Breast Clinic. I told the GP I noticed my boobs looked like they had had an argument as the one with the lump was turning away from the other. I also have a swelling under my arm. I am terrified I have cancer. I take Enbrel for my chronic illnesses and on the leaflet it says it can cause cancer which is even more worrying as I have been on it for 18 months. My mum died of cancer 4 years ago, and I just cant bear the wait until next Tuesday 14th July for my breast clinic appointment. Two questions - is the breast turning a sign of cancer? does anyone know whether Enbrel could have caused their cancer? Thank you for taking the time to read this for me.
