I have just read a really useful book called ‘anti cancer a new way of life’ by Dr David Servan-Schreiber. I was pacing the local library and started to read a couple of pages and as it was very down to earth and the author had himself got cancer I took it home.
It has lots of info and there is a link to penguin publishers for a free leaflet of foods etc. The book itself puts all the sugar business into context. Its an easy read.
I found it helpful in that I now understand about our own sugar and body insulin and how the additional sugar that we load up on has a detrimental affect on our bodies.
Ive just downloaded the leaflet and will have a read, although i dont know how much of it i believe. I have the brca2 genetic cancer gene so im not sure that by living by these rules would have stopped me getting breast cancer or helped prevent it. Wouldnt it be fantastic for everyone if it was true. Although i do believe by doing things in moderation keeps us healthy.
Please dont take this all too seriously - its just advice and a bit of knowledge and that is what we all ask for. I think we just take what we want from any advice or info but the sugar is explained and that for me was great.
This is not for everyone as its hard enough to drink a cuppa without someone saying how bad it is and I drink enough of that!
Its just info and you can take or leave it and no harm done.
At least your taking the time to give it a read before binning it and I think that is not done by many before they condemn it.
I know what your saying and its great if the slightest little thing can help. I used to take a powder called ip6 helps the bodys immune system recover and has had many tests done with it proving it can shrink tumours and help stop reacurrance. If i could get it pure enough in tablet form i would still be taking it but the powder tastes really gritty i dont know if you have heard of it. Ive sent you a link if your interested.
My own personal thoughts are…“Everything in moderation” and " A little of what you fancy does you good"…but hey ho…and if you find this information helpful who are we to knock it? All the best to you both, love V XX
I have to agree with Scottishlass , I have run myself ragged worrying about ’ what did i do wrong’ to get this damn C , just before i was diagnosed i was at my most healthiest, slimmest, and happiest.
