Any advice for flying long haul with lymphodema risk

HI everyone - ages since I’ve been on here - just freaking out thinking about going away this saturday and wondering if my left arm will survive longhaul without its first trip to lymphodema land - I had 18 lymph nodes removed 2.5 years ago and have been fine but havent flown yet - any experiencves to share??
thanks Moorcow
p.s. the moor I look over is in newcastle - you can imagine that it was pretty dramatic last thursday - it turned from green to brown - a very muddy lake!

Hi

I had 18 nodes removed Jan 2011 and flew to SA earlier this year with no ill effects. I did get a ver mild compression sleeve to wear - but the LD physio I saw didn’t think it was really necessary.

I made sure I got up every couple of hours and walked about a bit and I also did stretching exercises while I was sitting down.

Hope all goes well for you - are you off anywhere nice?

Dx

thanks thats very reassuring - off to canada to see my god son get married! cheers Moorcow

Hi,
I had 12 lymph nodes removed on 4th May this year and flew to the Caribbean on 25th May with the blessing of my surgeon. It all went well both way
Relax and enjoy your holiday
