Any tips for the sore runny eyes ?

dear all- 4x Epi was fine ((well puked like a dog but you know what I mean) I have had 2 x Taxotere and been miserable so switching to weekly taxol on Monday (got x6 to face) but my eyes stream all the time and the skin around them is tight and sore. I am guessing that they are dry but I know that some of you are very familiar with this and wonder if there are any tips or suggestions to deal with this ?

I will mention to the hospital on Monday to see if they can give me anything but I know from experience that there will be a top tip out there that might help me

Big hug to anyone that needs it xx

Hi Recs
I have suffered from runny eyes and nose. i have been given 2 types of eye drops- antihistamine and antibiotics neither of which have helped a great deal. I seem to be OK when I am inside but the cold sets it off as soon as I set foot outside. My oncologist says it will clear up as soon as the treatment finishes so I guess I will just have to put up with it a bit longer.
Good Luck

Hi Recs

Long time no speak to and sorry to see that you are suffering abit. My eyes have been dry and gritty since 2nd Epi. Was advised by Chemo Nurse and Oncologist to just use Optrex eye bath and this does seem to help but it was the usual comment that once chemo has finished it will all return to normal within 4 - 6 weeks!!

Hope it helps

hi there… my chemo unit gave me hypromellose eye drops which were great and also use lumecare eye gel that i get prescribed by gp… even though last chemo was in nov i still have eye irritation, although its nowhere near as bad as it was during treatment.
